what is a bouncer?

a bouncer (or BNC) stays connected to IRC for you. when you disconnect, it keeps your nick in the channel and stores messages. when you reconnect, you get your scrollback.

what bouncer software do you use?

soju, an IRC bouncer that supports multiple clients and multiple upstream networks on a single connection.

can I use my own IRC client?

yes. your bouncer speaks standard IRC. any client that supports TLS connections will work. see the clients page for suggestions.

what networks can I connect to?

any public IRC network: libera.chat, OFTC, Rizon, EFnet, etc. free accounts are limited to 1 network. pro accounts can connect to unlimited networks.

what is the difference between free and pro?

free gets you 1 network, 48 hours of scrollback, and a shared bouncer. pro ($4/mo) gives you unlimited networks, unlimited scrollback, a dedicated bouncer, and a custom hostname for /whois.

how do I cancel?

go to billing in the portal and click "manage subscription". you can cancel anytime and your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the billing period.

is my data private?

we store message logs only to provide scrollback. no third-party analytics. no ads. logs are deleted when you delete your bouncer.

how do I get help?

join #irc.now on libera.chat or email hi@irc.now.
